The project belongs to Bentonville-based Ropeswing, which develops dining, entertainment and cultural attractions. The relationship of old and new is especially evident as you enter the front door. The Parlor is a popular spot for club members to casually socialize on their way in and out of the club. The Blake home’s original millwork was meticulously replicated. Adjacent to the Parlor, the Library offers members a place for focused work.

At day’s end, head to our top floor rooftop deck to enjoy the sunset and spectacular views. Providing a place for members to build community socialize was equally important as the motive of health and fitness. The club’s multiple food and beverage venues provide space for human connection.

A home away from home, where Members gather to live a life inspired.

The glass expanses act as thresholds, connecting the traditional inspiration and replication of the original Blake house tomodern spaces. These thresholds offer views of the surrounding neighborhoods on one side, and look out to the club’s private pool on the other. These connections also define the link between public and private. The wellness club was created to resemble the comfort of a modern home with a complete list of amenities that members can enjoy including food and beverage venues, steam rooms, a library and coworking space, a gym, sauna, spa, meditation room, pool, and outdoor activity areas.

Furnishings, colors and objects were carefully selected with the hope of evoking a specific mood, memory and sense of place. The massing and roofline are comfortable in their surroundings. Cantilevers and full-height expanses of glass differentiate between the traditionally inspired front of the house, and distinctly modern addition.

Luna reiterated that the deputy’s bulletproof vest “saved his life,” and that without it, the case probably would have been a murder investigation. CHP officers apprehended Raymundo Duran, 47, Monday evening on suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of a loaded firearm at a San Onofre inspection point in a silver Toyota Camry. Investigators connected Duran to the West Covina shooting after initially booking him as a suspected drunk driver, Luna said. Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said Tuesday that California Highway Patrol officers had arrested a gang member in San Onofre who shot a deputy in the back as he sat on his department motorcycle at a West Covina stoplight. Other recent Ropeswing projects include Record, an event space at the corner of Southwest A and Central Avenue and The Preacher's Son, a restaurant at 201 N.W. Blake built the two-story framed, folk Victorian style house for $2,000 around 1887 and 1888 when Bentonville saw a building boom during post Civil War reconstruction, according to the report. The house underwent several alterations and was added on to a few times over the last three to four decades, said Matthew Hufft. BENTONVILLE -- A project along Northeast Blake Avenue will preserve a piece of the downtown landscape and turn it into a social and wellness club. Located in historic Bentonville, AR, Blake Street House is a rebuilt home-turned-wellness destination. Thomas Taylor Blake built his home in 1880 on one of the area’s original 166 lots.

When creating the site plan for BlakeSt., we wanted to provide a certain level of privacy for club members. We wondered how we could maintain a sense of seclusion in a semi-urban context. Working with 40NORTH and Ecological Design Group, the answer was landscaping. Clusters of trees and grasses bring a green touch to the pool deck and multiple patio areas surrounding the house.

Renfro Design Group contributed creative lighting designs to each area of the social club, integrating lighting into the space’s architecture to accent form, texture, color, and space. Concealed cove lighting draws lines of light in upper registers of rooms. Architectural glass facades blur the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces, contributing a free flowing transition from one to the other. Each illuminated area of the club offers layers of light, and offers an end result of a modern, elegant, and welcoming haven. BlakeSt House is a remodel of a historic home in downtown Bentonville, and the addition of 19,700 square feet to be used as a private social and fitness club.

The House comes to life when Members make themselves at home, gather around a table, sweat it out together, or raise a glass to one another. Our events provide a spectrum of learning workshops, literary clubs, outdoor expeditions, socials, live music, notable Chef dinners, cultural lectures, and collaborations with local experience centers. Blake was arrested in 2002 for the 2001 murder of his second wife, Bonny Lee Bakley. Blake was acquitted of the murder in criminal court in 2005,[4][5] though he was found liable in a civil court for her wrongful death.[6] Blake died in 2023. Los Angeles Street, originally known as Calle de los Negros (Spanish for "Street of the Black [People]") is a major thoroughfare in Downtown Los Angeles, California, dating back to the origins of the city as the Pueblo de Los Ángeles.

Bakley became pregnant and told both Brando and Blake that her baby was theirs. He appeared in the John F. Kennedy war biopic PT 109 as Charles "Bucky" Harris (1963). He was also in Ensign Pulver (1964), The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965), and other films. Blake garnered further exposure as a member of the ensemble cast of the 1963 acclaimed but short-lived The Richard Boone Show, appearing in fifteen of the NBC series' 25 episodes. A light-filled stair marks the health and wellness wing, and is a steady source of club member traffic throughout the day. Spa-inspired locker rooms, complete with steam rooms, custom-milled lockers and high-end fixtures, sit at the base of the stair.

Outside the club, evergreens line the fence as a shield for road and pedestrian traffic passing by. Blake also appeared twice as "Alfredo" in the syndicated western The Cisco Kid and starred in "The White Hat" episode of Men of Annapolis, another syndicated series. Named for and located on the site of the historic Blake house in downtown Bentonville, Ark., Blake Street House is a new wellness and social club rooted in the philosophy that progress, in any form, happens when we share the load. The design objective began with rebuilding the Blake family’s original 1880s farmhouse. A 20,000 sf expansion to the home was introduced, using similar residential shapes. The house as a social club will include gathering spaces, club dining, fitness and wellness programming and a 100-foot lap pool, according to Rob Apple, managing director for Ropeswing.

He was also criticized for being obnoxious and whiny.[10] In 1942, he acquired the stage name "Bobby Blake" and his character in the series was renamed "Mickey Blake." In 1944, MGM discontinued Our Gang, releasing the final short in the series, Dancing Romeo. In 1995, Blake was honored by the Young Artist Foundation with its Former Child Star "Lifetime Achievement" Award for his role in Our Gang.[11] In 1942, Blake appeared as "Tooky" Stedman in Andy Hardy's Double Life. Our spacious apartment homes come in an array of options including studio, 1-, and 2-bedroom floor plans, plus loft options in select homes. Each layout offers large closets, hardwood-style vinyl flooring, and a kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Our pet-friendly community features ample convenient amenities. Work up a sweat in our fitness center, swim laps in our pool, and unwind in our spa.

During the early COVID pandemic lockdowns, the couple and Stefani’s kids were living in Oklahoma, where Shelton built a ranch and a home by a lake. Shelton’s 1,300-acre Ten Point Ranch is in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. It includes a four-bedroom home, according to property records. Blake played a Native American fugitive in Tell Them Willie Boy Is Here (1969), starred in a TV movie adaptation of Of Mice and Men (1981), and played a motorcycle highway patrolman in iconoclastic Electra Glide in Blue (1973).
